1.1 Electrode Intelligent Regulation

At present, most of the research on adaptive control of electrode regulation in electric arc furnace at home and abroad mainly takes the main circuit of electric arc furnace as a linear system to identify and control, and then uses the adaptive method of linear system to study. The piecewise linearization adaptive control method is one of them. The piecewise linearization adaptive control strategy transforms the control of the electrode regulating system of the electric arc furnace from the control of the non-linear system to the control of the piecewise linearization system, and solves the problem of the adaptive control of the three-phase electric arc furnace system.

With the rapid development of intelligent control theory, researchers widely use intelligent control algorithm to control the adjustment of electrode of electric arc furnace. Aiming at the complex non-linearity and time-varying characteristics of the two stages of EAF smelting, the researchers adopt the control methods of combining neural network and fuzzy control with traditional PID, so as to achieve satisfactory control effect in each stage of EAF smelting. 1.2 Automatically Determining Scrap Cleaning Technology

Modern electric arc furnace steelmaking generally carries out electric power adjustment according to the pre-set electric chart, and the smelting process needs to be loaded with scrap several times (e.g. three times). However, because the properties of scrap steel (such as size, volume, weight, shape, etc.) and the melting condition often change, the best power supply melting effect can not be achieved by operating according to the preset power chart. Especially in the scrap additional period and the melting period from melting to warming up, most of the operators operate according to experience. Therefore, inaccurate judgment of melting period will increase smelting time and reduce production efficiency. Accurate understanding of the melting state of scrap in electric arc furnace will have a great influence on steelmaking operation. Under this background, Datong Special Steel Co. of Japan has developed an E-adjustment system for automatic determination of scrap melting in electric arc furnace. The melting state of scrap steel in EAF is judged by using the high harmonic current (or high harmonic voltage) and the sound of EAF during the smelting process, and then the automatic control is carried out. Datong Special Steel has collected a large number of actual production data of E-adjust, and compared with the traditional manual judgment of the production mode of Huaqing. The results show that the average power consumption of electric arc furnace is reduced by 7.1kWh/furnace and the operation time is reduced by 0.4min. After the introduction of E-adjust system, the electric energy is saved and the arc is improved because of the stable operation. Furnace production efficiency.

In recent years, the electrode automatic adjustment model based on adaptive technology, neural network and fuzzy control has been gradually introduced into the domestic electric arc furnace control system, and the actual production effect is remarkable.
